I’m human, I’m a woman

Happy international women’s day. Here is a poetry for you all.

They thought my teeth were too wide

My nose was too flat

I couldn’t get a frown right

Or smile the perfect way

They only forgot

I’m human, I’m a woman

I’m beautiful the way I am

They thought I was only a box

To house unborn seeds

Not needed in anyway

To affect the lives around me

They only forgot

I’m human, I’m a woman,

I’m a beauty with a brain

They thought I needed a long leg

In a clean nude skin

To seat in an office chair

Or find my way to the peak

They only forgot

I’m human , I’m a woman

I lead with my clothes on

They thought if I wanted fame

I needed a sex tape

Or get on a strip pole

In a world of men

They only forgot

I’m human, I’m a woman,

I’m beautiful in my place

They thought I couldn’t stand out

Like a warrior with a sword

Without the strength of a man

And the heart of a king

They only forgot

I’m human, I’m a woman,

I was born to conquer
